As the Owner Representative for overseeing the construction of Hope Community Church’s new facility — my role included more than “just looking at building pictures.” As with most projects — it begins with a vision. Our Pastor had a vision for a relevant church that reaches out to our community. That vision needed to be translated into words and pictures that tell and show the story of the vision which in turn results into bricks, tiles, wires, dry wall and ultimately, a place we call home to worship and share what Christ has done for us and can do for anyone that walks through our doors.

Three years of planning, meetings, revisions and applications resulted in the successful completion of our facility due in large part to Pat Morgan and his team of architects and engineers. Pat never flinched when we had a new suggestion or request to change a design or function of the building. Rather, his goals aligned with our goals; which were to make this facility more than a building and Pat’s innovative ideas and flexibility to custom fit ministry with practical use of materials and supplies surpassed our expectations. In needing this space to be used by our community not just those of us attending Hope and the team of Pat Morgan along with our contractor, Polycon Construction Group, worked together to ensure the entire project met these demands.

Pat delivered on his commitment to detail and stewardship. With today’s access to technology, the fact that he and his team reside in Colorado never presented an issue to the workflow or communication. Being on the east coast, I was amazed that no matter what time I called, every phone call was answered by a real person — no voice message! And the monthly trips to our site were timely and carefully planned with hard work, careful consideration of use and placement of rooms, walls, ceilings while maintaining the aesthetic of a warm and inviting place to come to church or hang out in our coffee shop (Common Grounds).

All in all, I have to say that what typically can be an extremely difficult process — building an 89,000 square foot facility to meet building codes and while keeping ministry goals a priority, turned out to be both a pleasure and a blessing. I consider it a privilege to work with Path and his team and I would highly recommend them for your building project.
